A big thanks to all our Winter League teams
Many of you may not know that we have been fielding teams in the Oxfordshire NJCL Winter League; playing competitive tennis through one of the meanest toughest winters on record!
The Junior Committeee have been assisted by a fantastic set of parents who have captained the teams for us, working tirelessly to arrange matches, organise teams, re-arrange fixtures, re-arrange teams and generally be brilliant. We would like to thank Claudia Vennekens (U12 Boys), Gail Knowler (U12 Girls), Joyce Picot (U14 Boys) and Gertruud van Dijken (U16 Girls and U16 Boys) for the amazing job they've done for us this Winter.
Of course, the fixtures couldn't take place without the commitment and effort from our players. A big thanks must go to all those who have represented the club this winter and for showing such an excellent attitude and playing some excellent tennis!

It's safe to say that some other clubs haven't shown our determination in staging matches but when we have managed to play a fixture then without fail our players have shown excellent attitude and sportsmanship which is a credit to them, the team captains and the club. With this base to build on it's very pleasing to report that we had some success with some excellent results, so well done everybody!

Tournament Programme 2009
Our tournament schedule is even bigger this year with Fiona pulling out all the stops to put together an exciting schedule. The highlight is undoubtedly our Club CLosed Junior Tournament on Sunday 12th July - a fun packed day for ALL junior members to play some tennis and enjoy Geoff's famously cooked burgers and hot-dogs in the blazing Summer sun.

Matchplay Programme 2009
We are taking part in the Matchplay series for juniors (in parallel with the adults series). There are 6 days reserved at Wycombe so the weather cannot damage the schedule with prizes and a guaranteed two games per day against players from Thame and other clubs. It's a great way to get some LTA points and enjoy some good competitive tennis. Read more...

Tennis Leaders Award Courses 2009
Steve and Justin start a series of Tennis Leaders courses in March 2009. The courses run on Sundays between 14:30 - 19:30. The Tennis Leaders course is run over 2 Sundays (10 hours) while the Advanced Tennis Leaders course is a 1 day (5 hour) course.
Courses are open to 13-18 year olds of all abilities and will give players the opportunity to get involved in tennis coaching and tournament activities.
This award listed on a CV shows a person has organisational and leadership skills whilst also being responsible and capable of performing challenging roles.
